A fan (to stay cool in the Dallas heat, but as we discovered, also ideal for opinion voting)

A small purple "tangle" toy (to occupy your hands and relieve stress; check them out at www.tangletoy.com)

A decision pin wheel (to spin for advice on how to vote)

An hour glass (to use as an impartial time tracker)

Brett Briseno, the W's convention services manager in Dallas, shared with me their approach to the meeting room experience. "We call our setup the 'sensory set,' which is created to please all five senses. In addition to the visual, tactile, and savory items, we pipe in music that meeting leaders can turn on or off at will. Before the start of a meeting and during breaks, we spray the room with a specially developed scent, exclusive to the W. We also encourage our meeting room staff to add their own touches, so every W meeting experience is unique."

How creative! Using their imagination, the W has done the common in an uncommon way; they have created excitement in an otherwise routine event. By letting your imagination fuel your creativity, you will enrich the service experience.
